Ryan Lochte and Kayla Reid announced their decision to divorce on Wednesday, June 4, after 7 years and three children together.

Reid took to Instagram to share that she decided to end her marriage to the former Olympian "earlier this year."

"I hold marriage in the highest regard, so this has been one of the most painful, revealing, and challenging seasons of my life," she wrote, adding that she waited to make the announcement until she could speak "from a place of healing - not from fresh, open wounds."
