HALL COUNTY, Ga. — An escaped inmate from Hall County was arrested following a high-speed chase into South Carolina, according to authorities.

Deputies with the Stephens County Sheriff's Office said the man was on work release when he removed his ankle monitor and fled earlier in the day on Monday, June 2. That afternoon, a Stephens County deputy spotted him riding a black motorcycle believed to be stolen and attempted to pull him over along Highway 123.
