ATLANTIC CITY — A 57-year-old Pleasantville man was arrested in the theft of musical instruments from the rock band Heart during their show last weekend at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City.
Garfield Bennett was charged with burglary and theft. He was sent to the Atlantic County jail.
Officers responded to the Hard Rock in reference to the theft of a guitar and mandolin Friday from the Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena venue. The instruments belonged to band members from Heart who were playing a concert at the arena Saturday.
The one-of-a-kind guitar was custom-made for band member Nancy Wilson, while the mandolin guitarist/keyboardist Paul Moak had been playing for over 25 years.
