CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person was seriously injured in a shooting in Uptown Charlotte early Wednesday morning, police said.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police responded to a reported shooting along West Fourth Street, about a block from Truist Field, around 2 a.m. on June 4. When officers arrived, they found one person suffering from serious injuries after being shot.
The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment. Detectives haven't given an update on their condition as of Thursday morning.
CMPD hasn't released any suspect information or announced any arrests in connection with this shooting. It's unclear if detectives have identified a person of interest or what ted to the shooting.
