A 15-year-old student was killed, and several others were wounded following a collision at a California private school parking lot, officials say.

The fatal incident occurred on June 4 just after 3:00 p.m. at Campbell Hall School in Studio City, a neighborhood in Los Angeles, during pick-up time, according to the LAPD, KABC, and KTLA .

The teen was crossing between two vehicles when he was hit by a green Rivian SUV, resulting in him being pinned between both cars, police reported.

First responders arrived at the scene, and the victim was transported to a local hospital. He succumbed to his injuries, police said. The teen was not publicly identified.
