GREENVILLE, S.C. —

The fourth annual Juneteenth GVL Celebration Weekend is set to begin Friday, June 13 with a gala honoring Black excellence, cultural expression and community.

The Royal Gala will be held at the Embassy Suites on Verdae Boulevard. It will feature live performances, a scholarship ceremony, and a marketplace showcasing local Black-owned businesses. The event serves as the opening night for the Juneteenth GVL weekend, which includes four signature events scheduled through Sunday, June 16.

This year’s theme, “Celebrating Black Men and Promoting Community," highlights critical issues such as mental health, homeownership, and veteran recognition.
