SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) - A 20-year-old Pennsylvania man is headed to the penitentiary for shooting a man in South Dakota.

On Thursday, a judge sentenced Victor Rios to 18-years behind bars for attempted murder and assault.

In May of last year, Rios and three others received marijuana from a 24-year-old man outside a Sioux Falls restaurant and drove off without paying for it.

The victim followed the group of teens to rural Lincoln County, where Rios shot the man in the head, lodging a bullet in his brain.
