The wait is over, and Aaron Rodgers will sign a contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers. According to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network , Rodgers informed the Steelers he’ll fly to Pittsburgh on Friday and sign a deal before next week’s minicamp.
Rodgers, 41, waited a while to decide if he wanted to continue his NFL career after his release from the New York Jets, but ultimately returns for a 21st season. He spent two years with the Jets after coming over from the Green Bay Packers, but his first season in New York ended on his first drive of the 2023 season due to an Achilles injury. In 2024, he threw for 3,897 yards and 28 touchdowns, along with 11 interceptions, marking two straight full seasons with at least 10 picks.
