STANTON COUNTY, Neb. (KTIV) - The Stanton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning, June 5.

According to a press release, the Stanton County Sheriff’s Office received a call at 7:53 a.m. for a crash at the intersection of Highway 35 and 844th Road (North Eastwood Street) near Woodland Park.

Authorities say a Mustang SUV was turning onto Highway 35 into the path of a northbound Honda Accord. The collision caused the SUV to spin backwards, and the Accord went off the roadway into a north ditch.

The driver of the SUV, 22-year-old McKenzie Carpenter of Neligh, and the driver of the Accord, 48-year-old Heather Lenox of Norfolk, were both transported to Faith Regional Health Services by Norfolk Rescue. Lenox had to be removed from the Accord by first responder
