QUINCY (WGEM) - A Chicago man was sentenced to 18 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on Thursday.

According to the Adams County State’s Attorney’s Office, on April 8, 2025, Latwaon J. McCray, 45, was charged with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance stemming from a controlled buy of heroin at 926 N 4th St.

McCray pleaded guilty on April 10, 2025, to selling more than one gram, but less than fifteen grams of heroin.

In another case, McCray was charged with two counts of unlawful possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and one count of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.
