MONROE COUNTY, Mo. (WGEM) - A Vandalia, Missouri, man died on Wednesday after a crash on Highway 154 in Monroe County on Tuesday.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, on Tuesday at 10:35 p.m., a 2005 GMC Envoy was traveling westbound on Highway 154 when it ran off the left side of the road, overturned, and ejected the driver, a 62-year-old man from Vandalia, Mo., and a passenger, a 36-year-old Moberly, Mo., man.

MSHP said both men were taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital by ambulance.

MSHP reported the driver was then taken to University Hospital in Columbia, Mo., where he died from his injuries Wednesday morning.

The crash report said neither men were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.
