Eastern Kern County will be affected by highway closures for the week of June 9, 2025, announced Caltrans.

Highway 178:

Officials said on Highway 178 at Kelso Creek Road near Weldon, the eastbound shoulder will close while utility crews replace poles and components on Tuesday, June 10, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Highway 14:

On Highway 14, between Camelot Boulevard and Silver Queen Road south of Mojave, the median and inside shoulders will close while crews drill underneath the road to install utilities. Work is scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Drivers are asked to be attentive to workers on the highway and slow down for the cone zone.
