OVERVIEW

Morning low clouds have dissipated, and skies will remain mainly clear overnight in the metro area and western valleys of Oregon and SW Washington. Strong high pressure that’s been keeping wet weather systems away this week edges closer to the West Coast the next two days.

As the atmosphere warms, cool “onshore” flow from the Pacific Ocean will keep temperatures from soaring through Saturday. But as the dome of warm/hot air moves directly overhead Sunday and Monday, we’ll see a total shutdown of cooling ocean breezes. That shoul
