ST. GEORGE, Utah (KUTV) — A person infected with measles traveled through southern Utah late last month, and health officials said they were likely contagious at the time.

But, the Southwest Utah Public Health Department said they received few details from the reporting state, making it difficult to trace the possible exposure.

The Southwest Utah Public Health Department confirmed the traveler was in the region on May 26 and 27, but officials said they were not told which cities, counties, or public areas that person visited. They were only told the individual was unvaccinated and had since tested positive for measles in another state. They did not name the state.
