GALLIA COUNTY, Ohio. (WCHS) — A teenager died after an ATV crash in Gallia County Thursday evening, troopers said.

The wreck occurred just before 6 p.m. near the intersection of Rowlesville Road and Morgan Center Road just before 6 p.m. when 14-year-old Lucas Clonch of Vinton, Ohio drove off the side of the road and struck an embankment, according to a news release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Clonch was taken to the hospital by first responders but was pronounced dead.

Rowlesville Road was closed for two hours as authorities investigated the crash.
