A teacher charged with grooming and having sex with a teenager is set to be released on bail because of her “high risk” pregnancy.

Special education educator Karly Rae was apprehended at her New South Wales, Australia, home in October last year after she allegedly had sex with one of her pupils. The schoolboy is not believed to require special needs support .

The incident allegedly occurred between 6pm on October 4 and 12.30pm the following day, according to court documents seen by The Daily Telegraph. There is no suggestion that the teen
