The Met Office is warning that more than half a month’s worth of rainfall could hammer down this weekend, with a risk of lightning and hail too.
Heavy showers and thunderstorms are set to batter Kent, with some places predicted to see up to 40mm of rain.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning covering all of Kent between 9am and 6pm tomorrow.
Forecasters say frequent lightning, hail and strong, gusty winds could present additional hazards.
Figures show 55.4mm of rain fell in June last year and 54.8mm the year before.
“Frequent heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected for much of Saturday before fading from the west during the mid to late afternoon,” the Met Office says.
“10 to 15mm of rain could fall in less than an hour, whilst some places could see 30 to 40mm of rai
