Chaos for Natwest customers as the banking app has crashed, leaving scores unable to process transactions. The digital gremlins started causing havoc around 9am, with users reporting issues when trying to send payments.

By the top of the hour at 10am, Downdetector – the online outage tracker – had logged upwards of 3,000 gripes concerning Natwest's app troubles. Breakdowns showed that 66% were having a nightmare with mobile banking, roughly 25% with logging in on mobile, and a frustrating 9% with online banking woes. ‌
