NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Another line of strong storms is expected to impact your Saturday afternoon.

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for southern Middle Tennessee. The watch goes until 6 pm Saturday.

The Storm Prediction Center has increased the risk to a Level 3 out of 5 for southern Middle Tennessee. The rest of the Volunteer State is under a Level 2 threat, and Southern Kentucky is under a Level 1 risk for damaging thunderstorms.

This means the most widespread thunderstorms will be south of Interstate 40 on Saturday afternoon.

The primary threat within these thunderstorms will be damaging wind gusts over 60 mph. The threat of hail and tornadoes is low.
