It's a busy festival weekend in Syracuse and we look to be starting it off on a rainy note. Scattered showers today with a few isolated rumbles of thunder are likely before finally clearing skies by Saturday afternoon.

The most likely timeframe for rain showers in Syracuse is through the early afternoon today before the rain becomes more isolated during the afternoon hours.

Notice the overall coverage of rain diminishing by 6PM with the chance for a few brief downpours south and east of Onondaga County.

A Flood Watch is in effect this afternoon for Chenango County and into the Catskills as slow moving heavy downpours could lead to isolated flooding for poor drainage areas. The risk for any time of severe weather in Syracuse is very low.
