A pitcher tossing three no-hit innings in a regional semifinal might not usually expect to get pulled from the game, but when weather has altered the schedule and there are pitch counts to think about, that starts to come into play.
That is what happened to Lumen Christi pitcher Wes Learned in the Titans regional semifinal win over Leslie. He faced 10 batters in three innings, walked one and hit one though he allowed no hits and no runs, and that was the end of his night on the mound.
Titans coach Derek Tracy turned to Timmy Crowley next. Crowley pitched 2 2/3 scoreless innings, and then he was pulled from the game.
