PITT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - A section of a Pitt County road will be closed starting next week as part of a roundabout project.

A portion of Worthington Road near Corey Road will be closed starting Wednesday at 7 a.m. and is expected to reopen on August 8th.

The DOT says the road will be closed so crews can work on drainage tie-ins.

Drivers heading towards Worthington Road will be detoured onto Old Tar Road to Laurie Ellis Road to Jack Jones Road to County Home Road. Corey Road traffic will be detoured onto Firetower Road to County Home Road.
