A Chatham resident is one of 36 men facing a total of 128 criminal charges after an Ontario-wide crackdown on online child luring and exploitation, police say.

A man was arrested after trying to meet a child in person, said Chatham-Kent police, whose Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit assisted with multiple investigations in the effort, dubbed Project Support.

A Chatham man, 38, faces charges including including two counts of luring a person under 16, making child pornography and making sexually explicit material available to a child, police said. He can’t be identified due to a publication ban.
