NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Norfolk native and WBO Lightweight champion Keyshawn Davis weighed in at 139.3 pounds Friday afternoon at the official fight weigh in.

The contracted weight for his fight against Edwin De Los Santos was 135 pounds.

Despite this, the fight will go on. The Davis camp and his opponent, Edwin De Los Santos, will reach a financial compensation agreement in order for De Los Santos to take the fight.

If Davis were to win on Saturday night, he would not retain the WBO Lightweight belt, instead it would be vacant. If De Los Santos wins, he would earn the lightweight title.

Davis has fought at 135 pounds since turning pro after the Summer Olympics in 2021. He has never missed weight before.
