Man hospitalized, says he was shot by intruder at Phoenix home

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man is in the hospital after he told police he was shot by an intruder at his Phoenix home Friday.

Police say they responded to the area of 35th Avenue and Bethany Home Road just after 10 a.m. for reports of a shooting. When officers got to the house, they found one man who had been shot. He was taken to the hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The victim reportedly told officers that a person he didn’t know came into his house and shot him, then left. It’s unclear if police have identified a suspect.
