COLUMBIA, S.C. — A North Carolina teen has been arrested in connection with a string of auto break-in cases at various hotels in Columbia, and additional arrests are pending, according to Columbia Police.

Investigators said the 15-year-old male, who is from Charlotte, North Carolina, is charged with nine Counts of auto breaking, nine counts of criminal conspiracy, eight counts of grand larceny/larceny, and four counts of possession of a stolen handgun.

Police said they believe the teen could be responsible for 150 auto break-ins across multiple jurisdictions in a multi-state crime spree.
