WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ga. — An 83-year-old woman died in a car accident on a Washington County highway on Friday, according to Washington County Sheriff Joel Cochran.

Cochran said the accident happened around 3:30 p.m. on Friday, on Highway 15 in Washington County. The 83-year-old woman has been identified as Rosa Cason Allen, from Harrison, Georgia. Allen's next of kin has been notified.

Cochran said four other people were injured in the three-car accident, which happened near the Johnson County line. Cochran did not provide any further information about the status of the people injured in the accident.
