MENOMINEE, MI – The body of the 42-year-old woman whose disappearance prompted a days-long search by an Upper Peninsula lighthouse last winter has been found.

Lisa Janine Pipp, of Greendale, Wisconsin, was reported missing Jan. 13 after an incident on the ice of Green Bay when police said she walked away from an argument with her boyfriend and toward open water.

In a news release on Friday, June 6 , the Menominee Police Department confirmed that a body was recovered two days prior near Little Strawberry Island in the bay and was later positively identified as Pipp by the Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office in Wisconsin.
