On Friday at 1:32 p.m. a flood watch was issued by the National Weather Service valid between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. for Western Chester, Western Montgomery and Upper Bucks as well as Carbon, Monroe, Berks, Lehigh and Northampton counties.

The weather service adds, "Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible."

"Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations," explains the weather service. "You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued."
