A man is dead after he was struck by a vehicle in Mississauga on Saturday, Peel paramedics said.

The incident happened around 10:20 a.m. near Burnhamthorpe Road W. and Kariya Drive, paramedics said.

The man was pronounced dead on scene, they said. Another pedestrian in her 20s was taken to hospital with serious life-threatening injuries.

The vehicle remained at the scene, Peel police said in a post on X Saturday.

A man and a woman, both in their 50s, who were in the vehicle were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, paramedics said.

Burnhamthorpe Road W. and Kariya Drive is currently closed, police said.
