Leeds United are said to be closing in on their first signing of the transfer window with growing reports the Whites are close to tying down a deal for Udinese defender Jaka Bijol. The centre-back emerged as a potential target earlier this season, but that rumour is now looking more like truth with several reports, including Sport Zone, The Guardian and Give Me Sport all now pinning their colours to the mast that Bijol is close to agreeing a deal at Elland Road.
The 26-year-old has attracted interest from Italian giants AC Mila and Inter Milan this summer after impressing for Udinese, with the Slovakian being courted by several clubs in Europe. However, Leeds may have their man as they bid to strengthen their defensive options.
