LAKE SHORE — A deputy clerk will begin work in Lake Shore on Monday, June 9, after the city council agreed to extend a job offer at their regular meeting Tuesday, May 27.
The city received 13 completed applications for the position. The personnel committee of Mayor Andy Stewart, council members Wayne Anderson and Darcy Peterson, along with clerk/administrator Laura Fussy chose six to interview, though one didn't show.
The committee's highest ranking candidate declined the position.
The next highest ranking candidate — Kathy Johansen — will receive a $50,160 annual salary with 10 days of vacation and a six-month probation. She moved to the Brainerd area about a year ago from Nebraska.
