Eighteen youth baseball players from across China, along with their coaches and parents, spent two weeks in South Florida at the All-Star Training Center in Miramar, where they got the chance to learn more about the sport they love.
"Baseball is fun, and it's not only about fun — it's also about learning," said 8-year-old Gabriela Ningwang, one of the players.
The experience also provided a chance to connect cultural bridges. The coaches at All-Star primarily grew up playing baseball in Venezuela, and are teaching America’s pastime to the young athletes from China, where baseball is a fast-growing sport.
