Former NBA player Marcus Morris Sr. was arrested Sunday in Broward County on fraud charges, jail records show.
Records show Morris, 35, was arrested at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on a warrant out of Nevada.
Booking records for Morris stated "insufficient funds check" and he has an out of state hold.
Clark County criminal court records showed two felony cases against Morris stemming back to February and May of this year. He faces charges of fraud and theft.
Morris’s twin brother, Markieff Morris, who briefly played for the Miami Heat in 2021, posted a statement on X saying in part, "For that amount of money they’ll embarass you in the airport with your family. They got y’all really thinking bro did some fraud…”
