A 25-year-old backpacker from England has pleaded guilty after fatally crashing into a father-of-two while riding an e-scooter under the influence in Australia . Alicia Kemp appeared in Perth Magistrates’ Court via video link from prison on Monday, August 11, charged with dangerous driving causing death under the influence of alcohol.
She was also charged with causing harm to a passenger while under the influence of alcohol, but the charge was later dropped.
It comes after Kemp, from Redditch, Worcestershire, is reported to have spent six hours drinking before she went cruising through Perth's city centre where she fatally crashed into Thanh Phan, 51, on May 31.
