DALLAS — After denying the Texas House of Representatives a quorum for the first special session called by Governor Greg Abbott, Democrats are expected to return to be part of the second special session in Austin next week .
"Every strategy is at play," Abbott said Friday when asked about the mid-decade redistricting fight that led the Democrats to flee. "Depends on when and whether the Democrats show up."
Texas State Representative Ann Johnson (D-Houston) announced she will be among the Democrats returning to Austin as early as Monday.
