A woman is accused of shooting her boyfriend during an argument in Huntsville, according to police.

The Huntsville Police Department says officers responded to a domestic dispute around noon on Friday in the 3700 block of University Drive.

On their way to the scene, dispatch advised officers the suspect may have shot the victim.

Officers located a woman outside the apartment when they arrived, who police say admitted to being involved in an altercation with her boyfriend and shooting him.

The suspect, identified as 21-year-old Samora Cameron Tyler, was detained.

Inside the apartment, officers found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Police say he was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
