GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — He's the number one prospect in all of baseball, and he plays for the Greensboro Grasshoppers.

19-year-old Konnor Griffin is on the fast track towards the Major Leagues. All eyes are on this kid, but he's not worried about the pressure, just enjoying the ride.

"It's a kids' game," said Griffin. "I try to have fun every day. Sometimes it can get tough, a lot of failure in this game, but when things are going good, it's a really good feeling".

Griffin plays shortstop and centerfield, and he is batting over .300. He has been a big part of this Grasshoppers team that has the best record in baseball.

If Griffin keeps improving, he could be playing for the Pittsburgh Pirates by the end of next season. For now, he's enjoying his time in Greensboro.
