The following information was provided by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office:

On August 15, 2025, at approximately 18:18, Deputy Dean Anderson was advised of call concerning an abandoned vehicle at Oak Creek Drive, Bangs, TX 76873. A 2008 Silver Mazda 6 was located on the wrong side of the roadway on Oak Creek Drive facing oncoming traffic posing a traffic hazard. Brownwood Towing was contacted, and the vehicle was towed.

On August 15, 2025, at approximately 20:49, I, Deputy Dean Anderson, was dispatched to a call for service concerning an assault against a jailer at the Brown County Jail, W Commerce St, Brownwood, TX 76801.
