FOR MILL, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- No charges will be filed in a fatal shooting that occurred at a hotel near Carowinds Blvd in July, the York County Sheriff's Office and the Sixteenth Circuit Solicitor's Office confirmed Monday.
Deputies responded to the Motel 6 located on Carowinds Blvd around 3:30 a.m. July 27, after reports of a shooting.
Responding deputies determined that a single gunshot fired struck the male victim, identified as 23-year-old Kendale Richardson Williams.
The shooting suspect was detained on the scene, pending further investigation.
After further investigation, investigators determined that Williams was the initial aggressor in the incident.
