HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (WEVV) — An Earlington couple charged with manslaughter in the death of a 10-month-old baby will soon return to court.

The baby's mother, Samantha Stagner, and her boyfriend, Dayton Mason, appeared in Hopkins District Court for their preliminary hearings on Tuesday.

During court on Tuesday, the judge postponed the hearings for Stagner and Mason at the request of their attorney.

Their hearings were rescheduled for Aug. 29.

Kentucky State Police arrested the pair last week after an autopsy determined foul play caused the baby's death.

Stagner and Mason remain in Hopkins County Jail on a $1 million cash bond each.
