BROCKTON, Mass. (WPRI) — Brockton High School's choral director was arrested Tuesday morning following a months-long human trafficking investigation, according to Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz.
Matthew Cunningham, 35, has been charged with sexual conduct for a fee and trafficking a person for sexual servitude.
Cruz said Cunningham reportedly met up with an underage boy back in late April, performed a sexual act on him and then paid him through an app.
The investigation into Cunningham began after app administrators flagged the transaction and alerted the FBI, according to Cruz.
Cunningham pleaded not guilty to the charges and was granted $25,000 cash bail. He was also ordered not to contact the victim or Brockton High School, stay off social media, surrender his passpo
