While Fargo won the dubious title of the nation’s hot spot with a temperature of 106 degrees Wednesday, Wahpeton, N.D., 41 miles south of Fargo, sizzled Thursday with the distinction of 107 degrees, a national record for that date.
Oh it was a little warm in Fargo-Moorhead, too, with 105 degrees recorded by the National Weather Service at 3:40 p.m. Thursday, a local record for that date.
The weather service said humidity Thursday remained uncomfortably high at 30 to 35 percent. A meager rain shower
