MCLEAN COUNTY, Ky. (WEVV) — The McLean County High School community is rallying to support Nate Englehardt, a beloved student and athlete, following a severe ATV accident.

Nate Englehardt, a junior and the starting quarterback for the McLean County High School Cougars, was injured in the accident.

"Two weeks ago, after our first scrimmage - he had a wonderful performance for us, went out and was riding a four-wheeler, and it was dark, and he was unfamiliar with the road, and he had an accident," said Head Coach Zach Wagner.

Englehardt was airlifted to Vanderbilt Hospital with a serious head injury, dislocated clavicle, and several fractures.

Wagner said the community has organized donation drives and other fundraisers to support Nate's family as he begins his recovery journey.
