SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Three men suspected of a shooting that killed a 28-year-old woman while driving in the MLK neighborhood were arrested, according to Shreveport police.

On August 18, 2025, just before 11 p.m., Shreveport police responded to a reported shooting in the 1600 block of Martin Luther King Drive. When officers arrived, they found the victim, identified by the Caddo Parish Coroner as Labriesha Patterson, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The SPD Violent Crimes Unit worked through leads to identify and arrest Deceldrion Gay, 19, Tywann Gipson, 17, and Rodney Thomas, Jr., 19. All three were arrested and booked for second-degree murder for Patterson's death.
