CANTON, Mass. (WPRI) — Police have arrested a Providence man accused of stabbing his coworker at a gas station in Canton Wednesday morning.
Osmin Ramirez, 19, has been charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
Officers were called to a gas station off Washington Street around 7:45 a.m. to investigate a reported customer dispute.
The investigation revealed that Ramirez and his coworker got into a fight next to their work van, which was parked at a gas pump, according to police.
Police said Ramirez stabbed the 29-year-old victim in the stomach with a pair of scissors during the fight.
The victim was brought to the hospital for treatment and is expected to survive his injuries, according to police.
Ramirez has since been ordered held on $2,500 bail.
