What does it mean to clock in when the work never stops and never gets paid? A new pop-up exhibition in Burnaby asks visitors to reflect on the unseen, undervalued, and often invisible labour that sustains our daily lives.
Clocking In for Unpaid Labour , running August 22 to 24 at Deer Lake Gallery, presents 73 artworks created on time cards by artists and community contributors from across Canada. The project began in 2023 with workshops and open calls at spaces such as Richmond Art Gallery , Stride Festival , and the Canadian Museum of Human Rights in Winnipeg.
