A Ft. Deposit man has been killed in a crash between a motorcycle and a tractor-trailer truck in Lowndes County.

Alabama State Troopers say 40-year-old Daniel Gafford was driving the motorcycle when it struck a tractor-trailer truck driven by 46-year-old Robin Moore of Luverne.

Investigators say Gafford was thrown from the motorcycle and died at the scene.

The crash happened at about 11:39 this morning on Lowndes County Road 79 near U.S. Highway 31, about four miles east of Ft. Deposit.
