CHEYENNE — The Cheyenne Children’s Museum has been making small strides in establishing programming, adding staffing and partnerships, and getting off the ground since its “soft” opening in December.

Nearly eight months later, the museum is ready to transition to a formal opening. This change will be commemorated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony next Thursday at 4 p.m., courtesy of the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce’s Red Carpet Committee.

“The reason for the ribbon cutting (now) is because of the Chamber’s timing,” said Caroline Veit, the board president for the Cheyenne Children’s Museum. “I feel like we’re at a time where we have great staff in place and are working on adding a greater array of programming. ...
