A former assistant Cass County state’s attorney, along with four other individuals, has been indicted on two federal charges arising from a marriage scam.
Debra Lewis, 28, is accused of having aided and assisted the participants of the fraudulent marriages in the preparation and submission of their claims for permanent resident alien status to the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service.
